Η Κοιμωμένη του Χαλεπά. The Sleeping Girl by Chalepas (Ε)

Giannoulis Chalepas is for Modern Greek sculpture a  great tragic myth.
 The talented young artist with the tremendous recognition, the tragic fate, the madness and the solitariness.
 Last, the discovery of the old Giannoulis, his comeback, with his extraordinary works of the final years, and the acclaim.
 Dithyramb critiques of his Sleeping Girl and emotion over his tragic fate. This is Chalepas for Greeks as a whole, a figure
 from a novel with attributes of a saint, who continues to move specialists, artists as well as the man in the street.
 He died in September 1938.

Smell the autumn

Tenderly, he looked into the rushing water, into the transparent green,
into the crystal lines of its drawing, so rich in secrets. Bright

Glockentürme.. steeples

After some searching among old photographs I found these...

I am not so much into photographing churches, but here they are:

Das Thema  zum Fotografieren  von Nova (link), die auf Teneriffa lebt,  war "Glockentuerme"..

Nach einigem Suchen zwischen alten Fotografien habe ich diese gefunden.
Nicht sehr viele, da ich eigentlich kaum Kirchen fotografiere..

Συνάντησα ανθρώπους..

Ich habe Menschen getroffen, die
wenn man sie nach ihrem Namen fragte,
schüchtern – als ob sie gar nicht beanspruchen könnten,
auch noch eine Benennung zu haben –
»Fräulein Christian« antworteten und dann:
»wie der Vorname«, sie wollten einem die Erfassung erleichtern,
kein schwieriger Name wie »Popiol« oder »Babendererde« –
»wie der Vorname« – bitte, belasten Sie Ihr Erinnerungsvermögen nicht!
Ich habe Menschen getroffen, die
mit Eltern und vier Geschwistern in einer Stube
aufwuchsen, nachts, die Finger in den Ohren,
am Küchentisch lernten,
hochkamen, äußerlich schön und ladylike wie Gräfinnen –
und innerlich sanft und fleißig wie Nausikaa
die reine Stirn der Engel trugen.
Ich habe mich oft gefragt und keine Antwort gefunden,
woher das Sanfte und das Gute kommt,

I have met people who,

I've met people who
with parents and four siblings in one room

Acropolis Museum

Μερικές φωτογραφίες από μία επίσκεψη στο νέο μουσείο της Ακρόπολης.

 Η φωτογράφιση επιτρέπεται μόνο σ' ένα επίπεδο.

 Η μοντέρνα αρχιτεκτονική του κτηρίου δένει τέλεια με την γειτονική Ακρόπολη. Παράθυρα παντού, επιτρέπουν στο φως της ημέρας να φωτίσει τα εκθέματα.

Το δάπεδο είναι όλο από γυαλί και αφήνει θέα στα ανασκαμμένα θεμέλια.

 Και από αυτά τα παράθυρα υπάρχει μια εκπληκτική θέα της Ακρόπολης!

Einige Fotografien während eines Besuches des neuen Akropolis-

Museums.. Leider war das Fotografieren nur auf einem Stockwerk

erlaubt.

Das sehr moderne Museums-Gebäude steht in schöner Harmonie

mit der antiken Umgebung.

Das mit sehr viel  Glas gebaute Museum  lässt  das Tageslicht auf die

Ausgrabungen und Skulpturen fallen. Der gläserne Fussboden hält

die Ausgrabungen unter den Füssen des Betrachters frei.

Und wo auch immer unser Blick fällt, die Akropolis begleitet uns!

 

Here are some pictures from a visit to the new Acropolis Museum.
Taking pictures was allowed only on one level .
The building's  modern architectural style is in perfect harmony with the
ancient neighborhood.
 Windows everywhere allow plenty of daylight on the exhibits.

All glass floor allows full view to excavated parts of the foundation.

 And from those windows  a great view to the Acropolis!!
