A tired soul...

Μία κουρασμένη ψυχή (της ανθρωπότητας)...
This picture was taken somewhere northwest of Greece (Syvota).

  1. He seems light as a feather lying on the chairs. The fallen leaves are an interesting counterpoint to his frail body.

Yes it's allways the contrast (antithesis)
what's driving the eye of a photographer,
    or his lense..

  8. I like this one a lot, M - it has the human interest of capturing the old man at just the right moment with such an evocative pose and expression on his face, but also satisfies my love for abstract design, with the lines of his shirt and the strong patterns made by the overlapping of the black chairs! Best of both styles!

  9. Monika,

I am looking at this trying to figure out what is in the pocket...smokes, playing cards, mail? It's a very strong photograph...all of your work is!

Hope all is well with you this evening.

    Take care,

    Brian

  10. Ich glaube es war Konfuzius der sagte dass ein gebeugter Arm zu schlafen genug sein kann.

  11. He has cigarettes in his shirt pocket. On his arm rests some other object but I cannot see what. Perhaps a cig. lighter! Very strong photo!

  18. panathinaeos,
a true quality of life? Just lying there on
two chairs means that the man seems exhausted!
But either way he took his nap with a peaceful
    expression on his face...
